It is with great please to announce that the 2021 Krabbe Translational Research Network meeting will take place, in-person or virtually, March 17th-19th, 2021.  Due to the pandemic, The Legacy of Angels Foundation board of directors and the KTRN Steering Committee cancelled the 2020 meeting. A sad, yet valid decision, for the health and welfare of our rare disease community.

The KTRN Steering Committee invites those working to advance research in the biology, chemistry, physics, and related technologies of Krabbe disease to this meeting.  The goal of this disease-specific meeting exists to collectively bring researchers, clinicians, and pharmaceutical companies together.  This meeting will foster a robust exchange of ideas, discuss pre/post publications and research as well as, help identify partnership opportunities to accelerate developments.

Please, consider submitting your abstract for review.  All abstracts are due into our office on or before, Friday, January 15th, 2021.  Visit tloaf.org to learn how to submit your abstract.  On the TLOAF website, you will find the downloadable abstract form and information flyer to help you better understand this unique meeting.

As for the formal agenda, that is still in the works.  TLOAF and the KTRN Steering Committee are working diligently to ensure the KTRN meeting encompasses the precise representation of research efforts and encompasses the Krabbe patient/caregiver voice.  At this time, it is unsure how we will navigate the patient voice with the continued concern of exposure to COVID-19.  Yet, we can say with confidence, that this element of the meeting will not be withdrawn.  A detailed agenda will be available by mid-February 2021.
