ACHDNC Votes in Favor of Recommending Krabbe Disease Be Added to the RUSP

In a vote of 10-3, the ACHDNC voted in favor of recommending to the Secretary of HHS the addition of Krabbe disease to the national Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP)!

As Forge Biologics so eloquently put it, “The inclusion of Krabbe on the RUSP is significant progress to ensure every baby born in the U.S. has the opportunity of early diagnosis and intervention.”

This is an incredible victory for the entire Krabbe community that will have an enormous impact on babies yet to be born with Krabbe disease. Congratulations to all!The Secretary will review the recommendation and make a final decision.
